today's lesson brought to you by me

On a drive this weekend I was talking with some friends about random moments from middle and high school. I recalled that in Mr. Spaeth's 6th grade Science class we did a bunch of experiments and one day I went to stir a boiling solution with a glass stirring rod and ended up burning my whole hand. Mama Maximous was not too happy when I came home needing bandages and mad amounts of neosporin. While retelling this story, I remarked that that's one of the only times I've burned myself. Then of course, today, I stupidly put my hand on my flat iron thinking I had already turned it off and burned my hand again... playing my drum in class tomorrow might be a bit painful. alas.

lesson learned: hot things can burn you!
