Born and bred in the suburbs of D.C., I've always considered myself relatively northern...or at least certainly not southern. However, I am realizing that after spending the last 3.5 years here in Cville, I now have an appreciation or inclination for some 'southern' things:
(1) I use the term y'all - it's so much more useful than saying "you guys" and if we're really honest with ourselves, "you guys" is kinda sexist.
(2) I love sweet tea - I now refuse to drink regular unsweetned ice tea; it simply doesn't compare. On occasion, I will go to Christians just for their sweet tea (and refills).
(3) The idea of a farm/field party is quite appealing. takers?
(4) I want to try and ride a horse (hint Hanhan...when it's warm)
...just a few. I don't want to give myself away entirely.
