SMALL world

Last night amidst my misery of thesising, my best friend from home texted me saying she was on the train on the way from NY to DC for break. She told me she was sitting next to a woman who looks exactly like my mother. Another text came in saying that the woman's accent and features were all so very familiar. So she was going to strike up a conversation.

I imagine after some small talk, Liz probably asked where this woman was originally from and finding out she was Egyptian, she probably got more excited and mentioned that her best friend was Egyptian too. The woman likely asked Liz where she was from and when she responded DC, the woman may have asked oh does your friend live there too? Eventually the woman asked what Liz's friend's last name was, and when she said Maximous, the woman freaked out.

I got another text a few minutes later: "yo yo. Remember how I said the woman sitting next to me looked like your mom...SHE'S YOUR AUNT!!!!" Wait, what?! I was so confused. I couldn't figure out why my aunt and my friend were on the same train let alone how they ended up seated next to each other. Liz said she then whipped out her camera and showed a couple pics of us just to get confirmation. Hillllarious. It's a small world.
