Wine tasting is one of those things that I've always wanted to do and kinda never found anyone excited enough to do it with me! Well, that's changed a great deal in the last few days. Don't mind if I become a wine snob in the meantime...
A hole in the wall little shop on Market Street off of the Downtown Mall offers free wine tasting every Friday. The shop was crowded and quite hot on the humid Friday afternoon, but despite these obstacles, the wine did lighten the mood. After snaking through the crowd (and sometimes awkwardly maneuvering past them), I tasted 4 whites and 3 reds. The reds reigned supreme in my view...
Bacchus Wine & Cheese:
The wine tasting at Beach Week continues... Lauren, Mclean, and I walked up to the local strip mall and popped into the Bacchus Wine & Cheese store. For our $5 we got 7 healthy sized tastings. My personal favorite was a white Riesling from Germany - I might have to look into finding that one in the future!
