Djembes and quiet nights at my apartment

This morning I finally committed to purchasing a djembe! (I guess I've also committed to staying in my drumming class and put the pursuit of a second major on hold). For the last week, I've continually had about 15 tabs open on my firefox of drums. Drums on Amazon, drums on X8music, on interstatemusic, on music&arts...you name it, I had the webpage open. I've chosen a remo djembe and I'm super excited. Only problem is that because I wanted the smaller version, Remo will have to make the drum specifically for me. So I'm waiting on my baby djembe for the next two-four weeks supposedly. Bummer

On another note, I didn't finish my readings last night and was glad to have an open window tonight to do them but lo and behold, collab (our online reading site) isn't working! Soooo instead I'm jammmin to some Colin Hay and Beck in an empty apartment with my stereos turned up quite loud. (I bet whoever lives below me can hear it. oops.)

Well, we've all only been here for 2 weeks but it seems like my apartment mates will hardly ever be home this year. So much for living with people...Maybe when my drum arrives, I'll either make new friends in my building (b/c my grooves are sweet) or new enemies (if i have zero rhythm).
