Have you ever been asked: "What is the first thing you notice about someone you meet?"
I imagine surely most people have been asked or have pondered said question at some point in their lives; and likely there are some people who are less willing to give their honest answer of this...however, for myself, there are always two things I take note of: hands and eyes.
I'll begin with the latter: eyes can be some of the most striking aspects of a person. Think of that friend of yours who has piercing blue eyes that you could just stare into all afternoon, think of that parent who has light grayish-green eyes who's solemn look speaks a million words, think of that gal/guy who's hazel eyes mesmerize you because you honestly cannot figure out what color their eyes actually are and you just want to take a closer look.
Secondly, and this is perhaps my more odd subject of notice, is hands. I think by even briefly examining someone's hands you can learn a lot about a person. Are they left or right handed? How do they hold a pen? Do they have callouses from playing an instrument? Bite marks around the nails? Strong hands? Delicate hands? Ring(s)? Scars?
But why hands and eyes? I find it fascinating that mankind is all made generally the same but if you look at any easily comparable part, you can see just how diverse and unique we are as a people! For me, hands and eyes just do the trick.
So if you catch me admiring your eyes or hands, don't count me off as a creeper. I'm merely taking joy in how perfectly you were made!
