We live in a World of Coincidence

This weekend I went up to NYC for my cousin's baby's baptism. Baby Adli is the cutest! and so fun to play with. He was very well behaved this weekend despite the loads of strangers wanting to hold him.

Anyways, my travels to and from New York were quite coincidental indeed. On the metro ride to Metro Center, a boy got on the traincar, taking a seat right next to me and slyly asked if he was getting on the right train. Oh Hey Tyler!!! Lo and behold it was a friend from college who I hadn't seen in a really long time. We caught up for a little bit and reveled at the fact that he was only in DC for a couple days and he just happened to see me in the metro window when the blue line pulled in... hilarious. I love moments like that.

It continued. I walked to the Bolt Bus and got on looking for where my high school friend Emily had gotten a seat. Emily and I were not traveling together. I was with my parents and had mentioned to her in passing that I was bolting up to nyc this weekend to which she exclaimed, "oh me too. when's your bus?" We had both booked seats on the same bus without having talked about it beforehand... what are the odds? We survived the constant chatter and gossip of these three gals nears us on the bus (probably b/c we were admiring the cute Spanish speaking boy across the isle from me) and finally arrived in NYC after two extra hours on the road.

Guess what, it continues... On my bus ride back down to VA, another friend from college, Lee, happened to get on the same bus. By this point the bus was already quite crowded though so we didn't get seats together and ended up talking to each other across two or three rows of people - that is, until we were tired of raising our necks the uncomfortable amount necessary to see over the seats.

Yay, I wonder who I'll run into next?
