Ghirardelli Chocolate

Monday was my last class TAing ESL for the semester. I was running a few minutes late because I was upstairs in Cabell dropping off a form for a professor. I ran down two flights, walking into the classroom 2 minutes late. (I thought to myself, 'not bad, they can't have accomplished much in 2 minutes'). As I looked around the room taking in who was present and paying attention etc, while simultaneously lending an ear to what the teacher was saying to them, I noticed that the other TA's all had boxes of chocolates on their desks in front of them.

Class went on and we split up into groups to work on leading discussions. When 6:30pm rolled around and class was over, we reconvened in the same classroom. On my way in, I asked another one of the TAs if our instructor had given out the chocolates. She had indeed. Uhoh. I wanted my chocolates. How was I going to get them? Take them out of the bag sitting by the front? Ask for them? Have someone ask for me? After debating multiple courses of action, verbalizing them to another TA, and having one of my students say he would ask for me, I decided it wasn't worth it. I guess I would go chocolate-less. Did I deserve that for being 2 minutes late? Perhaps I did.

I hope my instructor enjoyed her extra chocolates at my expense haha. alas.
